What are Salt Tablets and How do they work?
Salt Tablets are compacted form of refined salt (Pure NaCl) specifically designed for use in ion exchange water softeners. When brine is drawn through the salt tank, the tablets dissolve gradually to create a saturated salt solution that regenerates the ion exchange resin, restoring its ability to remove calcium and magnesium ions that cause water hardness. Compared to granular or block salt, tablet salt offers superior handling ease, reduced bridging in the brine tank, and a more consistent dissolution rate.
